( मेथी) Fenugreek chicken
chicken (breast. leg piece)-500 gm
fenugreek leaves-2 cups (chopped)
List 1 for paste - .
garlic - 2 tablspoon
ginger- 1 1/2 tbs
List 2 for grinding
cumin seeds- 1 tbs
coriander seeds -1/2 tbs
black pepper 1/2 tbs
red chilly -3
bay leaf 2
kashmiri lal mirch - 1 tbs powder
turmeric -1 tbs
salt -1 tbs
List -3 for roast and powder whole Garam masala
3 green (small) cardamom
2 big cardamom
mace 1/4 tbs
1 bay leaf
butter or ghee 2 tbs
Heat the oil in heavy bottomed pan and add the 1/2 tbs cumin seeds and bay leaf
Add the chopped onion and fry till early brown
Add chicken and fry for few minutes till chicken releases it's water. Cover it with the lid and slow down the flame.
after five minutes add list 1 paste.
Fry till the raw smell is gone.
Now add fenugreek leaves and fry for few minutes.
Add list 2 grinder ingredients
cover and cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame, by now, the chicken pieces will be cooked and fenugreek leaves and the spices ,salt will be completely mix.
Now it's time to add list 3 roast and powder whole garam spices.
cover and cook for another five minutes.
This is the right time to check whether the salt is according to taste. No need to add water
when oil starts floating, then it"s ready to eat.
Decorate with chopped coriander leaves ,onion rings and butter.
Serve it with boiled rice ,or roti, ,nan, missi roti.
